A History of Training Safe, Skillful Drivers

Achievers Driving School focuses on teaching you how to cut the risk and learn to drive defensively. This is covered extensively in the classroom and taught on the road by professional, patient, instructors.

Our provincially accredited instructors emphasize accident avoidance in relation to night-driving, highway driving, emergency braking and the defensive maneuvering required to avoid head-on and rear-end collisions.

Instructors are also happy to discuss individual needs, and design programs to accommodate particular goals. A one-hour assessment with a written summary of driving strengths and weaknesses, and an appropriate training course recommendation is available on request.

Achievers Driving SchoolIn the Ottawa climate, winter driving skills are a necessity. To meet this challenge, Achievers has established a “skid training” program designed to improve winter driving skills, teaching the student to maintain control of a vehicle in unfavorable conditions such as black ice.

Another specialized course is 55 Alive, designed to meet the specific needs of the mature driver concerned with maintaining driving privileges for as long as possible.

Overall, our courses and training are designed to both exceed the legal licensing requirements and provide specialized training for various driver groups. We can meet your needs for a lifetime of safe and enjoyable driving.
